1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use Rew, and information processed by third-party services used in the app.

Account and profile information

• Name
• Email address
• Password, processed for authentication
• Future work or learning goal
• Avatar or profile image, if you upload one
• Email verification and account security information

Authentication and security information

• Access tokens and refresh tokens
• Session identifiers
• Session activity such as device/session records, last used time, and expiry time
• Basic technical data used to protect accounts and maintain sessions

Study and learning content

• Topics you create or generate
• Questions, answers, explanations, flashcards, and study materials
• Manual cards you create
• Files you choose to upload for study-card suggestions
• Answers you submit during study sessions
• Study progress, confidence ratings, scores, streaks, and usage limits

Companion chat information

• Companion profile choices
• Messages you send to the companion
• Companion responses and related conversation history

Purchase information

• Product identifiers
• Purchase tokens or receipts
• Transaction identifiers, when provided by Google Play
• Subscription, premium, and credit entitlement status

Payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card, bank account, or billing credential details.

Advertising information

Rew may show rewarded ads through Google Mobile Ads. Google and its advertising partners may process data such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics, and approximate location inferred from network information, depending on your device settings, consent choices, and Google’s policies.

Device and technical information

We may collect technical information needed to operate the app, such as app version, operating system, device type, network requests, crash or error-related information, and server logs.

Rew does not request access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, phone calls, SMS, or government identification documents.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Log you in and keep your session secure
• Verify your email address
• Generate study topics, cards, quizzes, explanations, and companion responses
• Save your study history and progress
• Check answers and provide feedback
• Provide usage limits, rewarded ad credits, purchases, subscriptions, and premium features
• Process Google Play purchase verification
• Send account, verification, password reset, and security messages
• Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and misuse
• Maintain, debug, secure, and improve Rew
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI Processing

Some Rew features use automated or AI-assisted processing to generate study materials, improve questions and answers, check submitted answers, and produce companion responses.

When you use these features, your prompts, study content, uploaded files, answers, and companion messages may be sent to our servers and service providers so the requested feature can work. Do not upload or enter information you do not want processed for these features.

We do not use your private study content for targeted advertising.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Hosting, storage, database, and infrastructure providers
• AI and content-processing service providers
• Email delivery providers
• Google Play for billing, subscriptions, purchases, and entitlement verification
• Google Mobile Ads for rewarded ads
• Security, fraud prevention, debugging, and operational service providers
• Legal authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
• A successor organization if Rew is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

Service providers are only allowed to process data as needed to provide services to us, subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. Data is transmitted using secure network connections where supported. Authentication sessions stored on your device are encrypted using Android security features.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Rew, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

In general:

• Account and profile data are kept while your account is active.
• Study content, companion messages, and progress data are kept while your account is active unless deleted earlier.
• Purchase and entitlement records may be kept as needed for billing, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
• Security logs and session records may be kept for a limited period to protect accounts and investigate abuse.
• Backup copies may remain for a limited time before being deleted through normal backup cycles.

7. Account Deletion and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Rew account and associated account data by visiting:

When we delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, except where we need to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access your personal information
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Request a copy of your information

You can also manage some information directly in the app, such as profile details, sessions, and account security settings.

You can manage ad personalization through your Android or Google account settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

Rew is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Rew, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

If you choose to make Rew available to younger users in the future, this Privacy Policy and the app’s Google Play target audience settings must be updated.

10. International Processing

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
